Position Summary
Yusen Logistics (Americas) is seeking a Sustainability Intern based out of its Secaucus, NJ office.
The intern will support Yusen's work to reach its publicly stated a goal of reducing scope 1 & 2 emissions 45% by 2030, as well as lay the groundwork for scope 3 reductions. The position will report to the Sustainability Director and interface with staff from other departments as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid the Sustainability Director to drive practical and innovative emission reduction solutions.
- Assist with Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission calculations.
- Collect and analyze data from our facilities and operations.
- Present findings internally at Yusen as needed.
- Stay up to date on emerging emissions reduction and energy efficiency trends and technologies.
Education and Experience
- BA degree and currently enrolled in a business, environment, climate change or related degree program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
- The skill to analyze data and identify trends that will help in decision-making.
- The ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations where the way forward is not immediately clear.
- A desire to make a difference the world, and the willingness to act.
