As the Operations Support Manager CLG, you will promote corporate compliance, safety, quality assurance, security, environmental, regulations, industry standards, and training initiatives across warehouse, transportation, and yard operations for the PNW. Your role is crucial in ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting operational excellence, fostering staff development, and maintaining efficient warehouse and yard operations.
Overall Compliance, Safety, and Quality:
· This position will promote Safety (TRIR, OSHA, TSS, Audits), Quality (EHS, Global YES, Kaizens), Security (CAPA, CCTV, Security Audits), Training (SME All Systems, New Hire, Job Aides), Compliance (Governance, Environmental, Continuous Improvement, EEC)
· Adherence to Corporate Policies and Standards: Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across warehouse operations and yard compliance.
· Regular Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits, quality inspections, and compliance assessments in both warehouse and yard areas to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
· Training and Education: Develop, update, and implement comprehensive safety and compliance training programs tailored to warehouse staff, with a strong focus on yard safety and operational procedures.
· Incident Investigation and Resolution: Thoroughly investigate all incidents, non-conformances, and safety violations within warehouse and yard operations, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented promptly and effectively.
· Continuous Monitoring and Improvement: Establish ongoing monitoring systems to track safety and compliance performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
· Emergency Preparedness: Develop and regularly update emergency response plans, including drills and simulations, to ensure that warehouse and yard staff are prepared to respond effectively to any emergencies.
· Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by recognizing and rewarding safe practices, encouraging reporting of potential hazards, and involving all employees in safety initiatives.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety, quality, and compliance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in all operations.
· Conduct regular safety and security audits, quality inspections, and compliance assessments for both warehouse and yard areas.
· Develop, update, and implement safety and compliance training programs for staff, focusing on safety and operational procedures.
Safety Management:
· Implement Corporate Safety and Security Practices: Promote safety and security initiatives, ensuring alignment with best-in-class industry standards.
· Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards in warehouse operations, including yard compliance areas.
· Compliance with Certifications and Training: Ensure full adherence to Corporate safety certifications and compliance training requirements, including those mandated by the corporate safety team.
· Cultivate a Safety-First Culture: Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance at all levels, encouraging active participation and strict adherence to safety protocols among warehouse staff.
Training:
· Develop and Implement Training Programs: Design and deliver robust training initiatives aimed at elevating staff proficiency in safety protocols, compliance standards, quality assurance, and yard compliance efficiency.
Security and Environmental Sustainability:
· Enhanced Security Measures: Implement corporate security protocols to protect warehouse facilities, equipment, inventory, and yard premises from potential threats.
· Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct detailed security assessments to identify risks specific to warehouse and yard operations. Partner with the corresponding areas to develop targeted mitigation actions.
· Security Infrastructure: Implement corporate security and safety measures such as fencing, zoning, and access controls to safeguard warehouse equipment and secure designated areas.
· Environmental Sustainability Initiatives: Promote environmental sustainability within warehouse and yard operations by promoting waste reduction, energy efficiency, and other eco-friendly practices.
Minimum Required Qualifications
· Required Experience: 3-5 years in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
· Required Education: High School Diploma required. College degree preferred.
· Preferred Certifications: OSHA: Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Lean Six Sigma Certification, or a related certification.
· Must comply with all Company policies and procedures.
· Highly competent in communication, problem solving, and decision making.
· Supervisory/management experience.
· Ability to drive long distances and/or travel overnight as required.
· Ability to work shifts of at least (8) hour, and occasionally longer, (5) days per week.
· Proficiency with MS Office 365 and ERP // SAP softwares/computer systems.
Essential Job Functions
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
· Work cooperatively with others.
· Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule using MS Office 365 and ERP // SAP softwares.
· Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
