Dartmouth Health's Cheshire Medical Center, seeks a dynamic, highly collaborative physician executive to serve as its next Chair, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Cheshire Medical Center is a 150+ bed non-profit community hospital that provides a continuum of care spanning primary care, comprehensive specialty care to surgical services and acute inpatient care. It serves as a regional referral center for Dartmouth Health and has served the healthcare needs of the community for 130 years. As the region's largest employer, Cheshire Medical Center has a deep understanding of the communities it serves and partners with dozens of community organizations to design programs and services to meet community need.

Cheshire Medical Center seeks an exceptional clinician and visionary leader who fosters an academic environment to serve as Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This leader will be responsible for the growth and advancement of the clinical enterprise, and teaching excellence. They will have a demonstrated record of recruitment, an ability to inspire, manage, mentor staff and galvanize a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in clinical care, education, and an emphasis on team building and fostering collaboration among obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, and nurse practitioners.

As the leader of the Department, the Chair will bring an understanding of clinical operations to guide the Department in providing care that aligns with Dartmouth Health's quality and safety protocols. This position requires a vision for the growth of clinical services, as well as an ability to collaborate with other leaders across Cheshire Medical Center and Dartmouth Health to effectively formulate strategy, build market share, and allocate resources.
The successful candidate will be an individual who has a passion for providing outstanding care, a desire to improve systems and processes to maximize efficiency, the leadership to engage staff and hold them accountable and an enduring commitment to provide an environment conducive to maximizing education and improving quality and patient safety metrics. The successful candidate must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and must be able to obtain medical licensure in the state of New Hampshire. Prior leadership experience is required, especially in a collaborative practice model with OB/GYN's, midwives and APPs. A Clinical Faculty Line appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine is available based on candidate qualifications, experience and interest, but not required.
