We are committed to making a difference for our neighbors, friends, and family and our vision is to be a trusted, nationally-recognized leader of innovative, collaborative community health.    Employment Status: Full-Time (36+ hours a week) Working Hours: Monday: 11:30AM-6:30PM Tuesday: 6:30AM - 5:30PM Wednesday: 6:30AM - 2:30PM Thursday: OFF Friday: 6:30AM - 5:00PM Shift: 1st shift Position Reports to: Office Manager     SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the physician/provider, the Clinical Medical Assistant/LPN will perform all clinical duties usually required of a Clinical Medical Assistant/LPN in a medical office.  The Clinical Medical Assistant/LPN shall report directly to the assigned Office Manager of Wilson Health Medical Group.  All clinical medical assistants/LPN are required to maintain continuous certification.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Performs all duties under the supervision of the physician/provider, and within the guidelines established by the physician/provider; anticipates duties that need to be performed and strives to make the physician/provider as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Greets patients courteously, and assists patients to the examination room in a helpful and compassionate manner; conducts self-according to ASPIRE values.
  • Obtains and accurately records vital signs, chief complaint, current medications and allergies.
  • Assists physician/provider with examinations, including blood draws, lab specimens, injections, electrocardiograms; assists physician/provider with minor surgical procedures.
  • Educates patients/family members on topics related to the patient's medical condition and care within the guidelines established by the physician/provider.
  • Documents in the patient's medical record accurately, appropriately, and thoroughly.
  • Assists in ordering diagnostic tests and procedures, and making referrals, including referral tracking documentation in the practice management system.
  • Communicates with patients and family members in a professional and compassionate manner; communicates test results under the guidance and direction of the physician/provider.
  • Performs quality control measures on all appropriate medical testing equipment, refrigerators, sterilizers; properly completes compliance logs regarding quality control.
  • Maintains proper inventory of medical and lab supplies; orders supply according to established guidelines.
  • Follows all applicable federal and state laws and regulations; follows Wilson Health Medical Group and Wilson Health policies and procedures; always follows HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices.
  • Assists with scheduling patients, faxing and electronic communications, telephone duties, form completion and other clerical duties as needed to maintain an efficient, effective medical office.

  • Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or a Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)- Required
  • Graduation from accredited Medical Assisting program
  • OR Active LPN License with the State of Ohio
