We are committed to making a difference for our neighbors, friends, and family and our vision is to be a trusted, nationally-recognized leader of innovative, collaborative community health.    Employment Status: Part Time  Working Hours: 24 hours a week (48 hours per pay period) Shift: 3rd shift (7pm-7am) Position Reports to: Acute Care Nurse Manager               Department Description: Wilson Health's Acute Care Department is a 23-bed medical-surgical -telemetry unit. This unit is where patients receive active but short-term treatment for a server injury or episode of illness, an urgent medical condition, or during recovery from surgery.   Job Summary: The Medical-Surgical Telemetry Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) prepares and compiles records in nursing unit of hospital facility and watches cardiac telemetry monitors.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the computer entry of patient information/registration and physician orders to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist with the coordination of activities of the unit and ensures the necessary supplies are available to provide patient care.
  • Assure opens and timely communication with the patient, their significant others and team members to ensure the occurrence of therapeutic interventions.
  • Watch telemetry monitors
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), hospital or related experience preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support preferred
