West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Urology is actively recruiting a Urologic Oncologist (ranks available Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor). The candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of urologic oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Must be eligible for state medical licensure.  Candidates must have completed an accredited urology residency program and urologic oncology fellowship program. Candidate must be board eligible/certified in urologic oncology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Department of Urology is the leading urologic resource in the state and surrounding region and delivers care across the entire spectrum of urologic disease for children and adults. As a leader in medical education, the department provides enhanced clinical urology instruction and training to residents, hospital physicians and staff members and maintains comprehensive urologic research protocols on both the basic and clinical levels.

Urology is the highest volume robotic surgery service at WVU Hospital with access to one SP and five Da Vinci Xi robotic platforms. Call schedule is distributed among all faculty, and with the addition of this faculty member will be 1 in 11. The Department of Urology provides state of the art care across all urologic sub-specialties. The WVU Cancer Institute is composed of a multidisciplinary care center in Morgantown, WV (Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center – MBRCC) as well as 13 regional sites across the state of WV and surrounding regions. MBRCC is one of the country's premier cancer treatment centers. We are a quaternary cancer center holding the state's only Transplant and Cellular Therapy (TCT) program, and the only Hyperthermic Intraoperative Peritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) program to name a few unique services. The growth of the Institute is driven by a mission to connect patients in all areas of the state and region with a broader team of cancer specialists.
