Certified Nurse Midwife

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences seek a Certified Nurse Midwife (ranks available: Instructor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Duties: Our midwives collaboratively practice with faculty OBGYN Specialists, Uro-Gynecologists, and MFM Specialists allowing complete care for midwifery patients. OB and Off-Service (Family Medicine, ER, and Anesthesia) resident teaching, in both clinical setting and lecture format are an important component of the job. Medical and Nursing student teaching as well as Advanced Practice Nurse preceptorship add to this challenging position.

  • playing a pivotal role in educating and mentoring medical students, and residents helping to shape the future generation of healthcare leaders.
