  • General Information - Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 26, Number of Staff – 112, Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 CNC(TL), 14 nurses, 2-3 ST, 2 unit clerks, Night Shift – 1 CNC(TL), 12 nurses, 2 ST, 1 unit clerk. Patient Ratios – 1:1 high risk labor&c-sections; 1:2 antepartum, PPROM, PTL on mag, PP on mag; 1:3 PP mag no baby, Out patients - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed. Type of equipment – Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN(GE) monitor, EMR – CPN gold, Meditech.
  • Typical hiring profile - Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters). Best personality Fit: Hard working, Flexible.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Labor and delivery experience at least 2 years, Circulate C-sections.
  • Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Labor and delivery experience more than 2 years, High risk LDR experience.
  • List typical procedures performed on unit(s): C-sections, Inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, Doppler.

  • We do self-scheduling which is a big staff satisfier. Our team works together well to cover the staffing needs of the unit.

  • We have a team nursing approach, where all of the nurses look out for each other, and help each other when possible.
  • Strong leadership team that is supportive of nurses and can all work the floor when/if needed.
  • Many tenured nurses with 20-40 years of experience.
  • New OB Hospitalist program began in April, and gives attending support to the residency program, and nurses working triage.
