Description

The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking an experienced physician who is committed to an academic career in general obstetrics and gynecology. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor and will be based at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine in Manhattan, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • General Obstetrical Care: Provide comprehensive obstetrical care in an outpatient setting, including antepartum and postpartum visits.
  • General Gynecology: Provide general gynecological care, including primary and preventative services. Conduct surgical and non-surgical consultations, and management of benign gynecological disorders, including office-based procedures and gynecological surgeries.
  • Teaching and Supervision: Engage in teaching and supervising medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
  • Continuing Medical Education: Participate in continuing medical education to stay updated on medical advancements and contribute to department quality initiatives.
  • Community-Based Care: In collaboration with the NewYork-Presbyterian March of Dimes women and baby mobile unit, provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecologic care to designated community-based organizations. Promote women's health and well-being in the community.
  • On-call Coverage: Participate in gynecology on-call coverage, ensuring timely patient care during emergencies.

Base Salary Range: $275,000- $320,000
Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full-time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a medical degree, successfully completed a 4-year ACGME accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and be board eligible or board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. The candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License and possess a commitment to excellence and teaching.
