Waste Pro USA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Regional HR team. In this newly created position, the HR Generalist will provide support to our HR team in the areas of reporting, regulatory compliance, performance management, and employee communications.

In addition, the function partners closely with HR product areas within the department to drive efficiencies and best practices in our HR processes.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Partner with the HR team and other key stakeholders to define reporting requirements, developing best practices, solving problems, and implementing improvements to the existing reporting structure.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, EOY, and ad hoc HR-related reporting and analytics.
  • Administer and review employee survey feedback (through exit interviews, surveys, etc.), make recommendations based on information obtained and share with regional vice presidents and Human Resources Managers.
  • Oversee all required government reporting requirements (Affirmative Action Reporting, EEO-1, Vets 4212, etc.). Review vendor analysis, summarize goals and action plan and report out to HR and management teams. Works collaboratively with the Recruiting team to ensure AAP/EEO compliance with job postings and applicant flow tracking requirements
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; oversees the EI-9 system and periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Administers labor law poster compliance program
  • Manages the employee performance evaluations process and ensures they are done in a timely manner. Provides reporting to Regional HR Manager and maintains the Performance module in ADP.
  • Conduct reviews of Personnel Files to ensure compliance with all government laws and regulations. Communicate directly with HR Managers when files are out of compliance.
  • Create and maintain HR project calendar.
  • Tracks changes in company policy (for handbook revision)
  • Assists with periodic audits to ensure positions are properly classified as exempt/non-exempt.
  • Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews)
  • May Assist with Training projects and educating employees regarding company benefits

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of HR or HR Compliance work experience
  • 1+ years demonstrated work experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience designing and implementing new organizational procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Team player with strong influencing and communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Self-directed, organized and capable of handling multiple, complex projects
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ever-changing circumstances while able to exercise sound judgment in decision-making
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner due to access to information of a sensitive nature
