    Job Requirements
  • Position Requirements: This is a 450 bed facility with 290 acute care beds-Medical-Surgical, BMT and Oncology, Cardiac Surg, Telemetry, Neuro, Rehab, Transplant, Short Stay and boarding units.
  • Travelers will get orientation to 5 different units over 3 (12hr) shifts and will then float to all acute care units, rehab and boarding areas.
  • Travelers on the Resource Team will float to the ED, PACU, ICU or other boarding areas to take care of patients that are boarding patients.
  • Dayshift: potential to change units 3 times over 12hr.
  • Looking for travelers with the following:
  • * High acuity acute care with charge nurse not in staffing ratios (boarding charge in staffing ratios)
  • * Teaching facility experience highly preferred
  • * Experience titrating insulin and Heparin drips, Highly preferred
  • * Experience with PCA's, and managing Epidural Medications such as Ketamine
  • * Skills checklist and references must be completed within the past 6 months by a direct supervisor (not a charge RN)
