- 28-bed unit with nurse-driven collaboration where you will have the opportunity to care for a diverse surgical patient population.
- This unit provides excellent experience with airway management, including new tracheostomies, for RNs who may want to work in the critical care setting in the future.
- Be part of a team of nurses who are prime support and educators to patients receiving highly specialized care for a variety of complex surgical procedures including Cystectomy or Bladder Removal with Urinary Diversion, Gender Confirmation Surgery, Mastectomy with flap reconstruction, head and neck surgeries and other related surgical oncology procedures.
- Job Requirements
- Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile)
- Tracheostomy and surgical experience required.
- Gynecology, urology, plastic, and colorectal experience preferred.
- Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
- Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
- Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
- Schedule Information
- Travelers are the first to float.
- The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
- During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
