The UTMB Division of Endocrinology is seeking a full-time faculty candidate to join our growing Division. At UTMB, the Division of Endocrinology provides both inpatient and outpatient referral-based clinical care in all areas of Endocrinology. Our outpatient services are in Galveston, League City, Friendswood, and Angleton, providing easy access for patients residing in Galveston County and the South Houston metropolitan area. The Stark Diabetes Center is in our League City clinics and provides integrative patient care working closely with a variety of medical and surgical specialties involved in prevention of diabetes and its complications. Our faculty includes basic science researchers, clinician scientists and full-time clinicians dedicated to both patient care and teaching.

Physician faculty members should expect to perform 9 half-days of out-patient clinics, to participate in weekend rotation for inpatient consults, and to be an instructor/mentor for medical students, Internal Medicine Residents and Endocrinology Fellows. Clinical practice experience is preferred but not mandatory and new Fellows are encouraged to apply.

Candidate Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
  • A strong commitment to patient care, medical student, and resident education.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License.
