Description
The Director of Business Operations at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders is responsible for managing the financial decisions of the Center, such as executing the Callier Center's financial strategy, developing plans to ensure financial stability through revenue growth and management of expenditures, developing financial plans, managing accounting procedures and analyzing data and creating models based on analysis.
The Director of Business Operations oversees the Callier Center's financial operations, including monitoring cash flow, and budgets, and recommending strategies to improve the Center's financial health.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related progressive experience.

- Five or more years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in revenue cycle management and healthcare administration.
- Proficient in analyzing data across departments to identify and solve problems.

- Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks, and collaborating with clinical, compliance, IT, security, and HR departments to manage challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication, engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in planning and implementing strategies for financial stability and growth.
- Proven honesty and integrity, committed to avoiding conflicts of interest and maintaining the Center's integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Business Operations reports to the Executive Director of the Callier Center and collaborates closely with the Director of Administrative Operations and Compliance as well as other members of the leadership team at Callier Center.
- Collaborate with a team to lead organizational transitions as an initiative-taking leader, a change agent, and a motivator.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, planning, and analysis.
- Develop and direct financial plans to support strategic business goals, growth, and vision.
- Define the financial strategy and provide insights to inform business strategy execution.
- Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures to ensure resource availability for daily operations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Administrative Operations and Compliance to set up and oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within Callier.
- Analyze current and future business operations and plans to assess financial effectiveness.
- Oversee and manage financial operations, including budgets, contracts, position control, and procurement – including review and approval of all OneCard transactions and requisitions, accounts receivable and payable services, and financial reporting to Callier upper management, the University, and exterior agencies.
- Oversee medical billing and revenue cycle operations in conjunction with the third-party billing vendor, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead the business operations team.
- Oversee hiring transactions for the Center, serving as a liaison with the University's HR department to facilitate personnel processes, including position control and payroll management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state financial claims and reporting, as well as procurement guidelines for the USDA/Texas Department of Agriculture National School Lunch Program for Callier Center's food services.
- Liaise with the Facilities Maintenance Department and UTD Police/Security Department for the Callier Dallas building.

- Must have a State of Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
- Must be willing to travel to Callier Center facilities and community events/meetings
- Must complete all university and state-required training
