Our strategic plans call for UT Dallas to expand the reach of its educational programs, both in person and online, to potential students worldwide.
The director will build new programs and initiatives that help consolidate and expand our outreach to students outside the United States by developing and implementing preliminary online preparation for international students coming to the UT Dallas campus for their degree studies (pre-bachelor's and pre-Masters programs), self-contained certificates, and expanding our dual degree, articulation/transfer, and pipeline partnerships and programs. The Director for UTD Global will develop and deliver online, hybrid, digitally-mediated, and in-person programs from the ground up and aligned with our strategic global goals. In addition, the Director will be responsible for developing and delivering training resources for basic and advanced course design concepts, overseeing the online learning management system (LMS), and managing the UTD Global budget.
The position reports to the Senior Director for International Initiatives in the International Center. It works closely with the Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Dean of Graduate Education, the Senior Director of International Students and Scholars, and the Director of International Education. The Director for UTD Global also works closely with the highest levels of campus leadership, including the Provost's Office, Admissions and Enrollment, the Academic School Deans, the Office of Legal Affairs, and the Office of the Vice President for Research.
This full-time position involves traveling to regions represented by UTD's international offices, as well as international sites where UT Dallas programs take place, and recruiting international students for those programs accordingly.
