The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital is recruiting a Section Head for Cardiac Intensive Care in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and the Pediatric Heart Center. The Section Head will be responsible for the coordination and administration of clinical and academic activities within the Cardiac ICU Section and will also serve as an Associate Division Chief for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. The Section Head will work closely with Critical Care, Pediatric Heart Center, Seattle Children's Hospital, and UW Department of Pediatrics leadership to achieve excellence in the clinical, educational, research, and quality improvement activities of the CICU Section. A commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusiveness is essential. Opportunities are available for research and collaboration with scientists at Seattle Children's Research Institute, as well as all biomedical departments at the University of Washington and related institutions. This position will offer unique opportunities to coordinate existing programs and develop new programs in pediatric cardiac intensive care. The position is full time. Applicants will be appointed at the level of Associate Professor or Full Professor, and should be board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and have extra training or experience in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Cardiac Intensive Care (MD or DO or foreign equivalent required).
