Cardiothoracic ICU Opportunities!

We are seeking exceptional critical care trained anesthesiologists with an interest in cardiothoracic ICU care and dual fellowship trained cardiac and critical care anesthesiologist to be part of our amazing team. The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit has increased volumes in cardiac, thoracic and major vascular surgeries as well as ECMO census. Position Highlights

  • Join a multidisciplinary CTICU team comprised of intensivists, resident and fellow physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists and nutritionists.
  • Operating room time will be cardiothoracic cases as part of the cardiothoracic anesthesiology team
  • Cases will primarily be with residents and CRNA's
  • Involvement in resident, fellow and student education with opportunities in teaching and research
  • Our group is egalitarian with holiday's vacations and fair distribution of assignments
  • The University of Washington Heart Institute performs over 75 cardiac transplants, 60 lung transplants and the ECMO Program managed over 80 individuals in the last year. The service is expected to expand with opportunities for management of all aspects of mechanical support including plans for an ECMO retrieval service.
