Responsible for the administrative management of designated programmatic and educational functions for Invasive Cardiology. This position supports the Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Device Service, Cardiac Transition Unit, and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.

  • Assess the internal / external needs according to established professional standards and institutional guidelines/policy/procedure.
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and evaluates services and activities considering the needs of the practice areas.
  • Actively participates in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities for self while assisting in the professional development of others.
  • Develops and organizes educational programs across Invasive Cardiology with Leadership and NECs
  • Researches best practices for practice areas.
  • Responsible for organization and tracking of continual education.
  • Supports and collaborates with clinical research coordinators to ensure timely education.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with other leaders across UVA Health.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary Heart and Vascular Quality Support teams.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of services.
  • Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of services.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $34.61 – $55.38 Hourly

Position is Monday – Friday. No weekends, no holidays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor?s of Science in Nursing Degree is preferred.

Experience: 3 years relevant experience. Cardiology or procedural experience preferred.

Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requirements: Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
