Description
The Pharmacy Director, Supply Chain & 340B, oversees the comprehensive management of both Ambulatory Pharmacy Supply Chain and the Acute and Infusion Pharmacy Supply Chains. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement, distribution, and inventory management of medications across all UVA Health hospitals, pharmacies, and clinic practices. Additionally, the director monitors and ensures full compliance with the 340B program, driving strategic growth and optimization of the program while maintaining strict adherence to all programmatic requirements. The director also manages vendor relations, pharmaceutical contracting, and cost containment initiatives, ensuring the continuous availability of medications essential for patient care.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Pharmacy degree required (Masters and/or Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy. Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.
Experience: Minimum 3 years progressive experience in pharmacy practice and pharmacy management. Specialized residency training in pharmacy administration will be considered in lieu of experience.
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
