Description

Responsible for rendering technical patient care and assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Treatment rooms and the storeroom are appropriately stocked with supplies to ensure prompt patient treatment.

  • Organizes and prioritizes technical patient services delivered according to Medical Center and department policies and procedures.
  • Implements actions to ensure efficient and effective services to patients according to department policies and procedures.
  • Applies principles of safety and infection control to ensure the safety of patients and staff according to Medical Center and department policies and procedures.
  • Interfaces effectively with peers and customers and assumes responsibility for professional development of self and others per department policy.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.07 – $23.36 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience: No experience required

Licensure: Must be State Certified as one of the following: EMT–BEMT–C EMT–ST or EMT–P. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/walking and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, humidity, cold, heat, radiation, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids, infectious disease, noise and dust.
