Description
The Department of Surgery at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center, are seeking to fill one surgeon position for the Acute Care Surgery Division. Successful candidates will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway, commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments. Administrative/leadership positions may be available depending upon interest and suitability.
All applicants must be board certified in General Surgery or board certified or eligible in Surgical Critical Care. Successful candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont, and eligible to work in the United States. In addition to a strong clinical background in all aspects of Acute Care Surgery (trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care), the candidate should have a demonstrable interest in pursuing research, teaching, and/or administrative activities of an academic division of Acute Care Surgery. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Health Network.
Located in Burlington, the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center serve as Vermont's only academic medical center. It is the only ACS verified Level 1 trauma center in the state and provides tertiary care to patients from Vermont and Northern NY.
