To accommodate expansive growth in ICU services, the University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology seeks committed critical care medicine physician faculty members for tenure and non-tenure track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor ranks to teach and practice at UF Health Shands Hospital, UF Health Heart and Vascular Hopsital, UF Health Neuromedicine hospital, and Shands Cancer Hospital at the University of Florida, a quaternary care teaching facility located in Gainesville, FL (including, Level I Trauma Center / High risk Ob / Comprehensive Stroke Center / Level 4 NICU / Congenital Heart Center / Solid Organ Transplantation / Cancer Center).
Our critical care anesthesiologists provide care for some of the most acutely ill patients in the U.S. The division boasts a vibrant, growing academic practice with a strong fellowship program. Critical Care coverage for 6 ICUs (125+ beds): Cardiovascular ICU, Surgical ICU, Burn Unit, Thoracic ICU, Trauma ICU, and Vascular ICU.
Abundant opportunities exist to develop independent and collaborative research as well as innovative education models.
