- The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) is recognized as a valuable member of the Acute Care team. The LPN practices under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and assists patients, while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Actions are collaboratively coordinated to successfully provide evidence-based patient/family care.
- Provides nursing practice that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model.
- Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse program from an accredited college - Required.
- Experience or clinical time in Post-Acute Care or an Acute Care environment - Preferred.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state - Required.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire - Required.
- Schedule Information
- Clinician must be available to pick up 2-3 shifts consistently every week.

- May drive a UPH vehicle, rental or own vehicle.
