United Medical Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner who is an independent self-starter, enthusiastic and caring, to provide comprehensive healthcare to patients in the surrounding New Castle County area, building meaningful relationships with our patients and enabling them to maintain a full and active lifestyle. This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of the largest private ACO in the state of Delaware.
Our practice utilizes Cerner PowerChart, linking our providers with a vast network of other practices for coordinated patient care. United Medical's overall goal is to promote a healthy population through a comprehensive set of preventative measures and patient education.
Essential Functions
- Obtaining complete medical history and physical data on patients
- Determine appropriate diagnostic procedures as needed
- Perform complete physical exams and record results in EMR, maintain and review charts
- Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures
- Educate patient and families regarding medications, health, and illness protection
- Extensive knowledge of school-age, adolescent, and adult healthcare needs.
- Perform other related work as necessary
Education and Experience
- Must be a graduate or pursuing graduation from an accredited school or program.
- Active Delaware State License as a Nurse Practitioner
- Eligibility for/current Delaware Controlled Substance License
- 1-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- National Certification or a current Medicare/Medicaid number
- Verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
