The Tech-Echo Vascular plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health.

Union Hospital's Cardiovascular Testing department is equipped with advanced technology and trained staff to assist your Cardiologist in assessing your condition and treating you appropriately. Our staff consists of trained EKG technologists and Registered Sonographers who aide the physicians in providing the best care possible to our customers. We perform diagnostic exams for patients ranging from neonatal to a geriatric level.

Tech Echo Vascular Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Anticipates and performs assigned duties in the department, organizing job assignments systematically.
  • Explains procedures to patients, obtains medical history, and medications before exams for diagnostic precision.
  • Utilizes judgment and extensive knowledge of cardiac and arterial/vascular anatomy to tailor exams for individual patient needs.
  • Performs various diagnostic exams, maintains accurate logs, ensures equipment functionality, and attends educational events for professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Cardiac Ultrasound Program
  • Registered or registry eligible (RCT, RCVT, RDCS, or RVT). New graduates must obtain an appropriate credential within one year from the date of graduation. Dual credentialing is required within two years from the start date of training.
  • One year of clinical experience
  • BLS certification
  • Flexible schedule to work evenings/weekends on call shift rotation
