RN Ambulatory Supervisor Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Accountable for the management of staff. Works with Service Line Manager to perform variety of functions.
  • Provides guidance for staff in meeting the physical and emotional needs of patients and families.
  • Monitors and evaluates the quality of patient care.
  • Responsible for department coordination in consultation with the Service Line Manager
  • Suggest strategies and programs that are consistent with the Medical Group's mission, vision, values, goals and objectives.
  • Functions as a liaison among staff, providers and Service Line Manager.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Medical Group policies and procedures.
  • Assists in direct patient care area as needed to meet the demands of the department.
  • Recruits, train, and manage administrative and clinical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited BSN program.
  • Must have active Indiana RN license.
  • Must have active BLS certification.
  • Recent clinical experience in medical office or hospital setting with at least one year experience in medical office or hospital supervision preferred.
  • Nursing certification related to Cardiovascular Specialty or Ambulator Care will be required through Accreditation board of Specialty Nursing (ABSNC) or National Commission Certifying Agencies (NCAA) within two years of hire. These are the accrediting board of certifications recognized by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet.
  • Flexible to meet the demands of the department.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are crucial for success.

License/Certification:

  • BLS certification
  • IN RN license
