Exercise Science Clinical Assist Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for following the patient care from check-in to check-out.
- Schedules physical therapy for patients.
- Performs dressing changes.
- Responsible for taking patient vital signs and history.
- Monitors patient's physical therapy progress.
- Schedules MRI's, bone scans, and doppler tests.
- Performs cleaning of storage room.
- Checks expiration date on supplies and keeps patient rooms stocked.
- Triage patient messages.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate/GED.
- Graduate from an accredited school with a Degree in Exercise Science (BA,BS).
- Successful completion of on-the-job training in ambulatory clinic setting.
- Must have the ability to communicate and interact positively with a wide variety of people.
- Must be proficient with the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to document in the EMR appropriately using generally acceptable medical and professional terminology.
- Functional knowledge in word processing/personal computers.
License/Certification:
- Degree in Exercise Science (BA,BS).
- BLS level of CPR certification is required.
