The clinical educator is part of a collaborative Registered Nurse educator team. The clinical educator works collaboratively with other educators, nurse leaders, and organizational groups to design and execute plans for clinical growth, professional development, and engagement in the nursing role at Union Hospital.

Clinical Educator Details
Schedule: 20 hours/week
Shift: Days, with flexibility to meet employee and unit needs
The Clinical Educator works collaboratively with other educators, nurse leaders, and organizational groups to design and execute plans for clinical growth, professional development, and engagement in the nursing role at Union Medical Group.
Essential Job Duties:
- Clinical Unit Education
- Department orientation of new employees
- Department competency management
- Ongoing development of department education based on organization and department needs
- Support in achievement of department and organizational goals
- Support of designations specific to the Medical Group
- Professional Development
- Displays leadership qualities to guide, coach, and mentor nursing excellence and positive patient experience.
- Encourages and guides participation in the Professional Advancement of Clinical Excellence program (career ladder) for RNs and Clinical Support staff
- Active in Nurse Residency
Qualification/License/Certification:
- Current IN RN license
- MSN preferred, will accept BSN working towards MSN (MSN required within 3 years of hire) Specialty certification in clinical concentration or nursing professional development preferred Minimum of three (3) years of successful clinical experience in an ambulatory setting.
