Summary of Job Duties: The SANE Program Nurse Educator will lead efforts to promote evidence-based care for sexual assault victims across the state, focusing on policy development, program evaluation, and training. The position involves assisting hospitals with on-call digital consultations by certified sexual assault nurse examiners and providing ongoing training to emergency department staff. Responsibilities include collaborating with other programs, developing clinical educational materials, and offering annual onsite training at hospitals. The Nurse Educator will also support the development of a patient mobile app, online modules, and materials for outreach campaigns, working closely with the Program Director to track program goals and progress.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree or Nursing Diploma with 7 years of experience as an educator/instructor or RN experience to include 3 years of RN experience and 3 years of medical emergency experience , Bachelors in Nursing and RN License plus 5 years experience as an educator/instructor or RN experience to include 3 years of RN experience and 3 years of medical emergency experience
Computer program experience: Microsoft Office
Computer program proficiency level: Advanced
Ability to travel instate/out of state overnight travel. Uninhibited driver's license. Public speaking.
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (meet the number of clinical hours and completed 40 hour didactic training required to sit your national SANE certification)
Knowledge of care for victims of sexual assault
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, general: BSN or higher in Nursing or related healthcare field
Education, special or professional: Program development/evaluation
Licenses, certificates, or registration: SANE Certification
Special knowledge, abilities and skills: Leadership abilities, conduct educational course and training, collaborate for program development

Responsibilities:
Provides leadership to promote evidence-based care for sexual assault victims, supporting policy development, program/curriculum creation, and evaluation.
Assists in providing on-call digital consults to hospitals without access to certified sexual assault nurse examiners.
Delivers ongoing training and evaluation to emergency department nurses and physicians, focusing on patient-centered care and support for sexual assault resources.
Collaborates with related programs and resources to establish holistic care for sexual assault victims.
Works closely with the Program Director and other educators to meet the goals of the Tele-SANE program.
Attends local and statewide meetings to foster collaboration with hospitals and other resources.
Develops clinical educational materials for hospitals and patients, and provide annual onsite training for each hospital, including tutorials on telemedicine equipment and SANE camera/colposcope use.
Supports the development of a patient mobile app, online educational modules, and materials for the program's outreach campaign.
Assists with SANE consult communications to ensure proper care for sexual assault victims.
Collaborates on program initiatives and monitor goal progress related to training and evidence collection for victims of sexual assault.
