Summary of Job Duties: With direction from the Assistant Dean of Admissions and the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, this position is responsible for the development and execution of an effective and comprehensive recruitment and marketing strategy that supports the admission/enrollment goals of the College of Medicine.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field plus two (2) years of student recruitment experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Outlook, OneDrive, and Excel.

  • Experience creating and utilizing PowerPoint presentations for campus presentations.

  • The ability to travel and work evenings and weekends for on-and off-campus events.

  • Knowledge of student recruitment and retention practices and principles.

  • Outstanding organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.

  • Strong decision-making and organizational skills delivered from a client-centered perspective.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, including prioritizing competing demands.

  • Ability to manage all aspects of complex programs and events.

  • Ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to develop effective technical tools for supporting recruitment activities.

  • Ability to travel throughout Arkansas and beyond as needed for recruitment purposes.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement an effective digital marketing strategy aimed at prospective students for the College of Medicine.

  • Design marketing brochures for in-person recruiting events to target different populations.

  • Arrange recruitment visits/events at colleges and universities in the region.

  • Arrange and implement UAMS campus and virtual recruitment events for prospective students.

  • Development and implementation of a student ambassador program in which current medical students participate in the recruitment activities of the College.

  • Represents the College of Medicine at college and career fairs, conventions, and student recruitment events.

  • Utilize the recruiting software in Workday to track and connect with prospective students.

  • Data reporting and analysis related to recruitment and admissions; monitor and track the effectiveness of recruitment efforts to make informed decisions for future
    recruitment efforts.

  • Ability to explain the medical school application process and policies affecting admissions to the UAMS College of Medicine.

  • Participate in the enrollment processes, including advising applicants, and processing AMCAS applications, coordinating interview activities, managing databases.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
