Summary of Job Duties: The Advanced Practice Nurse will assist the collaborative physician with clinic patients, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, assist in the procedural room, and answer calls on daily basis for the Neurology subspecialty for evaluation, treatment, and procedures for the Neuroimmunology patient population. The APRN will be responsible for managing care of outpatients independently or with the physician, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions and performing injections. Nurse must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certification in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Eligible for DEA License
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experienceLicensed as a registered nurse and as an advanced practice nurse (APN) by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.

  • Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others. Collaborates in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.
  • Collaborates with a variety of health care professionals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems serving as a resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
  • Manages post procedure immunosuppression and labs of patient in coordination with physician and pharmacist.
  • Coordinates specialized, multidisciplinary care and facilitates consults of patients to assure timely and appropriate treatment.
  • Edits and documents results in various critical care systems.
  • Provides comprehensive health assessments, determines diagnoses, implements treatment plans, prescribes medical treatments, and manages health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician.
