- This Level I facility is looking for an IR tech for a travel assignment.
- Must have ARRT and BLS.
- Job Requirements
- ARRT, BLS
- Must have IR and Neuro IR (Stroke) experience and preferably EPIC, Siemens, GE and Phillips experience.
- Candidates must be comfortable speaking up & asking questions. This is encouraged.
- Schedule Information
- 40 hours per week: 4-10's or 5-8's

- Weekend Requirement – Rotating Call Only
- Call Requirement - Tech/response time: Once the traveler is working independently (approximately 1 month), they will orient them to call. Weekend call is every 5th-8th weekend. Weekday call is variable call shift count per month (M-Th counts the days). Response time is ideally 30 minutes. Max of 45 minutes.
- Unit Specific Information
- Floor specific orientation - Orientation with a preceptor.
- Orientation time is flexible. Usually 1 week, sometimes up to 2 weeks
- Common cases (IR &Cath lab): Central venous catheters, paracentesis/thoracentesis, GI tube management, fistulagram, GI bleeds, Y-90
- Neuro IR: diagnostic cerebral angiograms and interventions, Strokes - thrombectomies
- Vascular Surgery: EVAR, TEVAR and LE angio/interventions
- They get very sick patients (LVADs, ECMO, IMPELLA, etc.) – PE thrombectomy, TIPS, stroke, Aortic ruptures
- Additional Notes: The staff in IR are tight knit. The RNs, Techs, & Dr's all work well together, eat lunch together sometimes, etc. The last travel nurse stayed on per diem. The staff is very knowledgeable & open to teaching.
