Overview:
The Senior Director, FP&A position will report to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning. The applicant will lead the operational financial planning and analysis activities of the business unit. This position will work closely with the PeopleReady Executive Leadership Team, Operations leaders, and the Finance SVP to ensure the business unit is on pace to meet short-term and long-term profitability and return goals.

Responsibilities:
- Management Reporting & Analysis – Provides the thought leadership and related reporting of the “story behind the numbers,” providing insightful and actionable perspective on underlying trends and metrics. Leads the development of quarterly forecasts and the monthly results discussion with senior management.
- Strategy Planning – Supports the development of strategy with business leadership. Partners with other finance leaders to ensure operational strategy development efforts are in alignment with enterprise planning efforts. Shepherds the operational process to ensure strategic planning processes are carried out effectively throughout the year including appropriate documentation to ensure clear and measurable plans and milestones are in place.
- Performance Improvement – Works in a leadership position to tactfully and earnestly establish and coach to a culture of performance improvement in both Finance and Operations. Partners with divisional leadership to provide counsel, thought leadership and research support related to business unit performance improvement.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a balanced mix of operational and financial expertise. As both a strategic business partner and a finance advisor, they will continuously seek opportunities to broaden their impact, moving beyond traditional FP&A processes to drive significant business unit results. They must combine a big-picture perspective with meticulous attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial and operational leadership. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in adding value across various functional areas. The organization will look to this individual to both recommend and lead business projects that contribute to enterprise growth and profitability. They will have had direct influence on operations and supporting policies through prior experience with senior management teams. In addition, the successful candidate should have the following:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related area. An MBA is highly preferred with 10+ years of operational and financial experience.
- An interest in further career progression within finance or operations.
- Proven experience working with senior leadership teams to develop strategy, with a track record of successful outcomes driven by personal leadership.
- High-level knowledge and understanding of current business and economic trends, with the ability to apply these insights to the business model to improve decision-making and create value.
- Strong skills in strategy development, corporate finance, forecasting and financial analysis.
- A deep operational focus with the ability to drive results and improvements across the business.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging technology to arrive at creative, value enhancing solutions. Proven ability to utilize modern technologies and BI tools, and an ability to creatively solve problems using data and analytics.
- People management skills, including a proven ability to provide training and development to subordinates as part of a coordinated and strategic talent development plan. This includes understanding when and how to delegate tasks to team vs completing the work themselves.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills which enable the articulation of complex issues in a simple and compelling manner at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to develop finance and business presentation materials for a wide variety of internal and external audiences.

- Experienced in establishing a compelling team vision and goals with a track record of developing high-caliber professionals.
- Ability to manage direct reports and influence in a remote setting.
Salary Range:
The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $162,000 and $195,000 annually, plus eligibility for incentive pay, subject to plan terms.
Pay is based on qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training and other considerations permitted by law. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with applicable law.
