Description

As the Managing Director of Operations, you will oversee multiple client sites, ensuring that day-to-day operations are effectively managed to meet business and client goals. You will focus on operational performance, staff development, and process improvements within your assigned region. The role requires significant travel and a strong ability to lead teams while maintaining client satisfaction and operational efficiency.  

Salary Range: The salary for this position is anticipated to range between CAD83,583 – CAD104,478 per year. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Essential Job Functions

  • Implement operational strategies within the assigned region to improve efficiency and meet business objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines rather than setting company-wide strategy.
  • Oversee operational performance across client sites, focusing on meeting KPIs and ensuring service delivery standards are met.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations and identify areas for process improvement, ensuring consistent execution of policies and procedures.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to site managers, ensuring effective management of resources, staffing, and service quality across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to address and resolve escalated operational issues, ensuring that client concerns are promptly and effectively handled.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on moderate-sized initiatives focused on operational improvements, coordinating efforts across sites within your region.
  • Provide operational input during budget and forecasting discussions, ensuring that site-specific plans align with financial goals.
  • Support and mentor operations managers, facilitating training and development to improve team performance and prepare them for increased responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards across client sites.
  • Participate in business reviews with clients to assess service satisfaction and performance, and to identify opportunities for further operational improvements

 
Education/Experience  

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experiences
  • 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience in operations, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven success in managing multi-site operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in process improvement and operational streamlining at a regional level.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to manage complex, fast-paced environments, and solve day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
