Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full-time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to join our Hauenstein Neurosciences Team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Trinity Health Hauenstein Neurosciences is the areas most well-established, comprehensive Neuroscience Program, located in Grand Rapids, MI. From Epilepsy, Stroke, Parkinsons Disease to Sleep Disorders and Spine Care, Hauenstein Neurosciences is able to treat a wide range of nervous system conditions- all with state-of-the-art technology featuring the latest techniques and a compassionate focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit. Our team of experts is the most experienced in the area, and they will work to design a personalized treatment plan with each patient.
Practice Features:
- We are West Michigans only Neuro-Ophthalmology program. Providing comprehensive Neuro-Ophthalmological and medical evaluation of diseases that affect the visual pathways and control of eye movements.
- Services include:
- Diagnosis and treatment of visual problems related to the nervous system.
- Diagnosis and treatment of unexplained or sudden vision loss
- Neuro-Ophthalmologic testing such as visual acuity, visual field testing, pupillary reactivity, color perception, ocular alignment, and optical coherence tomography, among others.
- Comprehensive patient and family education.
- Strong interdisciplinary model of care: RN, MA, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSW, Patient Support Coordinator, PT, OT, and Vestibular Rehab.
- We are a national Multiple Sclerosis Society: Partner in MS Care.
- General Neurology visits may be required as your practice builds.
Qualifications:
- Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
- State of Michigan license required at time of employment.
- DEA license
- BLS Certification and maintain recertification.
