Description

Trinity Health of New England seeks a Health Informatics Regional Medical Director physician to join our informatics team currently based out of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut with reach to Mercy Medical Center in Springfield Massachusetts.

This position combines expertise in health informatics concepts, patient care, and health care management to:

  • Improve patient and facility outcomes.
  • Ensure/promote safe, effective, and efficient use of health information technology across the care continuum.
  • Provide regional oversight of the health information technology for Trinity Health of New England, its hospitals, and clinics.

What You Will Do:

  • Review medical informatics trends, experiences, and approaches, develop technical and application implementation strategies, and assist in the development of strategic and execution plans for health information technology.
  • Lead and facilitate key clinical leadership groups in the development of required clinical content, protocols, workflows to ensure best practices are represented in health information technology.
  • Represent medical staff in organizational discussions relating to the application and use of health information technology in the health care environment.
  • Develop health informatics strategies in collaboration with other senior clinical, medical informatics, and operational leaders related to health information technology, procurement, implementation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Act as a change agent in the identification, development, planning, implementation, and value measurement of informatics strategies to support quality patient care and professional practice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a Board Certified and licensed MD/DO.
  • Informatics fellowship training is preferred.
  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through the combination of education and experience. Fellowship trained preferred.
  • Must be able to be credentialed as a trainer in the EPIC model.
