Enterostomal Therapy Nurse Position Summary

The WOC (ET) nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients with wound, ostomy or continence care needs. Directs house wide initiative related to prevention of facility acquired pressure ulcers. Functions as an adult educator in a variety of settings and with a variety of audiences. Acts as teacher, facilitator and coach demonstrating expertise in theories, methods and strategies relative to learning.

Enterostomal Therapy Nurse Position Requirements

Education

  • Licensed and current registration as a registered nurse in the State of residency.
  • Certified in Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing or certified within one year of hire or transfer.

Experience

  • A minimum of two years professional practice which includes experience in direct patient care in Wound Care and one year teaching/management experience.

Enterostomal Therapy Nurse Schedule

  • Primarily day shift, evenings and weekends may be required as needed.

Enterostomal Therapy Nurse Benefits

  • At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
