Diabetes Education – RN Position Summary
The Diabetes Education – RN position provides Outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Services and potential for inpatient diabetes education. Functions as a diabetes educator in a variety of settings with a variety of audiences. Acts as a teacher, facilitator, coach, and mentor demonstrating expertise in theories, methods, and strategies relative to learning. Major focus is audiences of individuals with diabetes and their support persons. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.
Diabetes Education – RN Position Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.
- Current certification as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist preferred
Diabetes Education – RN Benefits
- At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
