TidalHealth, located in Salisbury, MD, is a dynamic healthcare organization committed to providing comprehensive mental and behavioral health services to our community. We are excited to announce the opportunity for a passionate and skilled clinical psychologist to join our team as the Assistant Director of Postdoctoral Clinical Training. This position offers the chance to lead and shape a new postdoctoral consortium training program, while also providing direct clinical services across various settings within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Assist in developing program goals, objectives, and training schedules for fellows. Manage the recruitment process, including application reviews, interviews, and selection. Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess fellows' progress.
  • Supervision: Provide individual and group supervision, as well as didactic training throughout the year. Support fellows in achieving their training goals and offer onsite consultation for routine and emergent cases.
  • Leadership: Oversee the fellowship and fellowship committee, conduct monthly staff meetings, and collaborate with other supervisors. Coordinate with allied professionals and leadership team to improve clinic systems and protocols related to the fellowship program.
  • Teaching: Develop and implement a robust didactic training schedule. Offer workshops and training based on your expertise to enhance fellows' leadership and presentation skills.

Assistant Direct Clinical Services: In addition to your role in program development, you will have the opportunity to provide direct clinical services across various settings, including outpatient centers, crisis centers, partial hospitalization programs, inpatient programs, and the emergency department. This includes conducting psychological consultations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering evidence-based treatments to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program, including internship training from an APA-accredited program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct clinical services and supervision/teaching. Demonstrated excellence or promise of excellence in administration/leadership, graduate-level teaching, clinical expertise, and multicultural training.
  • Licensure: Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in Maryland by the time the position begins.
