Clinical Quality Specialist Position Summary

A registered nurse who is a member of the nursing management team that is responsible for driving improvement in patient safety and quality, patient satisfaction, employee culture and operational efficiency by leading project teams that include the frontline staff, physicians, and members of the leadership team. Also responsiible for implementation and tracking of metrics that are aligned with operations.

Clinical Quality Specialist Position Requirements

Education

  • BSN or related Bachelor's Degree
  • Completion of Lean/DMAIC project leader training, Green Belt or equivalent within the first 12 months of hire into position.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the State of Maryland

Experience

  • At least three years as a staff nurse in acute care nursing.
  • Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities for Assets

  • Has basic knowledge of all equipment used on units.
  • Ultimately responsible for explaining and handling breakage or loss and implementing repairs or replacement

Contact with others

  • Has constant contact with public, staff, and families requiring effective communication skills.
  • Works effectively with the Medical Staff.
  • Maintains a cooperative working relationship interdepartmentally.
  • Maintains a cooperative working relationship interdepartmentally with other members of the nursing team and other units.
  • Have effective written communication skills.
  • When warranted, markets services to community groups, agencies, and/or other interested parties.

Clinical Quality Specialist Work Schedule

  • Exempt position.
  • Typically works day shift Monday thru Friday.
  • Evenings and weekends as staffing and quality trends dictate.
Clinical Quality Specialist Benefits
  • At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
