Ambulatory Trainer Position Summary


The Ambulatory Trainer provides initial and ongoing training and support to medical office staff for the EMR (Epic), as well as operational workflows. Performs staff competency assessments as needed. Provides on-site support for onboarding of new practices and serves as a resource for annual reporting of Quality data.


Ambulatory Trainer Position Requirements



Education:



    • High School graduate or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.

Experience



    • 3 years of experience with an electronic medical record required; Epic preferred.

    • 3 years of experience working in an ambulatory healthcare setting with an in-depth knowledge of either front office processes (registration, insurance, etc) or clinical processes required.

    • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) required.

    • Previous experience in training, instruction or adult learning a plus

    • Must obtain Epic Credentialed Trainer status within 60 days of hire.


Mental Demands



    • Must be able to organize effectively, work under restraints of time, pressure, accuracy and interruptions.

    • Must possess excellent communication and interpretive skills, both written and oral.

    • Must be able to effectively work with employees/trainees both one-on-one and in a group setting, including presentations.

    • Proceeds on own in organizing and carrying out training assignments, utilizing the Principal Trainers as a resource when needed.

    • Adjusts to change in policies, procedures, schedule, and fluctuation in workload.


Ambulatory Trainer Work Schedule



    • Day shift, typically Monday through Friday. There may be occasions where evening or weekend training is required.


Ambulatory Trainer Benefits



    • At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
