Description
Part time, 20 hours per week, days, evenings, with rotating weekends and holidays
MAIN FUNCTION
- Assists in the nonprofessional aspects of preparing and distributing medications & performs the clerical duties of the dept.
- All medication-associated duties are performed under the direct supervision of licensed personnel (Registered Pharmacists).
REQUIRED JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information.
- Demonstrates flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates skill on proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements.
- Demonstrates knowledge in aseptic techniques for the preparation of IV solutions.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Hospital's Information System (Pharmacy and B/AR), as well as the ability to work in Microsoft's Word and Excel.
- Provides customer service and support in a manner consistent with the health system's goals and expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School education with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Pay Range: $17.61 - $21.00
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
