Description
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Journeyman Systems Engineer with a Logistics focus.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- The candidate is responsible for analyzing and developing logistics needs for navigation systems including ground segments, space segments and radio frequency links
- The candidate should be able to apply safety standards knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services
- The candidate will participate in engineering studies and analyses for navigation services and provides data, information, databases and other products
- The candidate may be required to successfully satisfy a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements
- The candidate's work may also include generation of technical reports, white papers, presentations and other documents as required
- The candidate must be able to plan, schedule, and perform various aspects of logistics management and reliability engineering
- The candidate will participate in Engineering Working Groups, Technical Information Interchange, Engineering Change Proposal, and Risk Management meetings, and develop reports
- The candidate must be comfortable communicating with clients
- The candidate must work well within a team environment and have excellent collaborative skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Disciplines (Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, etc), Physics or related discipline. Master's degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in aerospace, satellite communication, or related industry logistics support.
- Preferred 2 years of life cycle logistics experience in an acquisition and/or sustainment organization.
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,Excel, and Access
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working on federal contracts
- Familiarity with Failure tracking and reliability computation Software
