Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Biologist to assist in growing Tetra Tech's regulatory/permitting capabilities. This person will be responsible for a wide variety of environmental field activities including but not limited to wetland delineations, threatened, and endangered species surveys, biological monitoring, as well as offering technical support to other projects performed by the office.
Your Role:
- Wetland and waterbody determination and delineations.
- Completion of detailed field notes, daily reports, forms, and checklists.
- Performance of threated and endangered species surveys for proposed infrastructure development.
- Monitoring wildlife during construction of facilities.
- Health and Safety assessments and audits of project sites and project teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field is required.
- Experience in environmental consulting or related experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must.
- Familiarity with field equipment such as Kestrels, Eos Arrow GPS units, and Tablets, preferred.
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
