Your Role:

Tetra Tech's Disaster Response Division is currently accepting applications for Solution Consultants that help us respond to disasters around the country. Recognizing the importance of the Stafford Act to support the economic recovery of an area impacted by a disaster, Tetra Tech highly encourages qualified applicants to apply. The employee in this position is responsible for building and customizing innovative technology solutions and managing supporting staff. Position may require travel for Client meetings or in some cases extended presence onsite for project oversight.

 

This role will give the consultant an opportunity to work to ensure RecoveryTrac solutions are deployed, integrated, assessed, and optimized to meet Client needs. The consultant will provide support to the customer in the planning, engineering, and implementation of specified solutions; make recommendations for product optimization and enhancement and be responsible for documenting solutions as they are provided to Clients;  work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors;  and exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

·       Build a team of technology users that can support rapid response engagements

·       Supervise, guide and support team members.

·       Implement and understand FEMA policy and guidelines as it pertains to delivery of Client services.

·       Develop and maintaining data management plans and standard operating procedures.

·       Oversee the integration of technologies and initiatives into consistent and reliable service delivery solutions.

·       Evaluate the design, selection, and implementation of technology solutions used to deliver professional services.

·       Act as a liaison between Client's technology needs and project delivery staff.

·       Makes decisions and performs timely independent actions in pursuit of project priorities.

·       Ability to perform ad hoc data analyses to support decision making for senior delivery consultants.

·       Receive and distribute information and task assignments to staff.

·       Monitor work progress and effectively manage the completion of key project milestones.

·       Ability to preemptively identify and resolve project issues based on project and FEMA requirements.

·       Quality assurance and quality control of project data & project deliverables.

·       Maintaining data management plans and Standard Operating Procedures.

·       Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

·       Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

·       Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

·       Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

·       Minimum Bachelor degree or relative experience. Degrees are preferable in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or another related field.

·       Minimum 2+ years of experience in a team lead, supervisory, or managerial role.

·       Prior experience working with FEMA or other Federal relief programs a plus.

·       Must be willing to travel on short-notice or extend periods of time.

·       Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and modern reporting platforms including PowerBI.

·       Ability to work in Smartsheets in including data collection and integration using provided API.

·       Experience using AI platforms for data and/or image analysis is a Plus.

·       Demonstrated experience working with and customizing a variety of commercial software applications for a specific use.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.).

·       Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and plan work to meet deadlines.

·       High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

·       Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
