Job Summary:

Tetra Tech Inc. Disaster Recovery (TDR) is currently hiring for a Site Inspector. The Site Inspector is responsible for supporting relief efforts following recent disaster events. This role involves inspecting properties and document the level of damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The Site Inspector will provide field-based reviews of damaged properties, describe the current conditions of the site, and document debris located on the property using camera equipment. The right candidates will be able to provide skilled and accurate inspection services and be able to capture and acquired data in field and work with office and cloud-based date platforms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

o   Document site-specific attributes/conditions and input into site inspection data collection devices and software platforms.

o   Maintain and track the completion of required site visits and track the progress in a management information system.

o   Coordinate with appropriate personnel throughout inspection process.

o   Review final site visits inspection reports for accuracy.

o   Follow procedures and maintain communication and focus.

o   Keep Supervisor informed on issues, problems, and resolutions.

o   Provide superior customer services and maintain the ability to listen, facilitate, and negotiate though problems.

o   Drive to and from destinations as assigned.

o   Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

o   Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

o   Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

o   Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

o   Possess effective time management and organizational skills with the capacity to handle pressure daily.

o   Strong analytical skills, bachelor's degree preferred, however, construction, building management, and logistics management experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

o   Prior customer service and site inspection data gathering experience preferred.

o   At least one (2) years of responsible building inspection experience is preferred.

o   FEMA or HUD disaster recovery programs experience is a plus.

o   Strong organization skills required.

o   Expertise of smartphone apps, MS Office, and Data Information System is a requirement.

o   Field experience at the state and/or local level preferred.

o   Must have the ability to drive a personal motor vehicle and pass a motor vehicle records check.

The ideal candidate will preferably have: 

 

o   Experience in post-disaster situations or with debris removal.

o   Clear and great communication

 

Standard Schedule:

 

o   This is a temporary assignment expected to last 3 months.

o   Work hours are 8 hours per day 5 days per week. 1 Hour Lunch & 2 Fifteen Minute Breaks. This may change based on program needs.

o   Work on the weekend shifts is expected.

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end.It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
