Description
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer whose primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Planning, managing, and executing complex tasks
- Maintaining and updating project plans
- Developing and updating Resource Planning Documents, budget formulation, and budget execution
- Assist with monitoring the solution implementation schedule of the program
- Assist with developing key Joint Resource Council (JRC) documentation per AMS requirements
- Assist with review of NAS Enterprise Architecture updates
- Assist with coordinating implementation schedule for interdependent programs
- Assist with tracking technical, cost, and schedule status
- Developing reports and status briefing materials for internal and external audiences
- Scheduling meetings and preparing meeting materials and minutes
- Tracking action items and deadlines
- Coordinating stakeholder review and comment resolution of various program documents
- Assist with monthly Risk Issue and Opportunity Updates
- Applies software, hardware, and standards knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services. Ensures these systems are compliant with FAA standards
- Evaluates and recommends process for configuration management, cyber security, safety, reliability, maintainability, integrity and other system engineering disciplines to improve navigation services
- Conducts studies and analysis for navigation services, performs data mining and provides data, information, databases and other products
- Support the development and maintenance and improvement of system engineering in the Navigation Services Directorate
- Evaluate technical and operational requirements for systems and services in the NAS
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in system engineering in the aerospace industry. Two years of which must include specialized navigation experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline. Master's degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience and familiarity with Ground Based Navigation Aids, Approach Lighting and Global Navigation Satellite systems
- Strong experience with the FAA's NAS Enterprise Architecture
- Experience with detailed phases of the systems engineering principles and processes or scientific work in a project or performs work which involves conventional engineering or scientific practice. The work may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements
- Demonstrated experience with a well-defined Requirements Management Process and requirements traceability
- Demonstrated knowledge of the FAA's Acquisition Management System and Procurement Process
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data analytic skills
- Must work well within a team environment and have excellent collaborative skills
- Flexibility with working in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- PMP Certification preferred
