Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a motivated Senior Preparedness Project Manager. This professional will have the opportunity to be a part of Tetra Tech's growing national emergency management and preparedness practice with a passion for making a positive and lasting impact in the places they work.

 

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 (Based on experience) 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing multi-million dollar projects/contracts, maintaining client relations, identifying and developing new business opportunities in the emergency management community resiliency marketplace, which includes but is not limited to emergency management planning, business continuity planning, financial recovery, response and recovery services to local and state governments, private businesses, universities and other institutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college required, Master's degree preferred.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute or
  • Certification as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Emergency Managers
  • Certified Business Continuity Planner

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years progressive project/program management experience.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams of emergency management practitioners in the development of solutions to complex emergency management and public safety challenges.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of and experience in applying the concepts, theories, principles and practices of emergency management, hazard mitigation, urban planning, and/or economic recovery
  • Proven business development skills; the ability to identify and assess new opportunities in a variety of service lines and develop consistent, focused opportunity assessments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with a variety of public and private sector executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities to complete work in a timely manner, despite changes in workload or assignment, pressure of deadlines, or competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make project management decisions based on quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Skilled at anticipating future consequences and trends accurately while creating competitive and breakthrough strategy plans.
  • Understanding of how to develop a strategic and / or business plan. Working with a team, document that plan and translate it into actionable objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Works well within a team structure.
  • Excellent project management, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
