Tetra Tech is seeking to add a Senior Energy Efficiency Consultant to lead projects primarily for our utility and commission clients in Texas. The preferred candidate will have industry experience in utilities, policy, energy efficiency, beneficial electrification, market research analytics, or energy program design and planning. The Senior Energy Efficiency Consultant will lead and complete deliverables that provide clients a cohesive story that both inform and present realistic paths forward. Given this high responsibility, this is a relatively senior position. This position will be located in our Madison, WI office; the option to work remotely is negotiable. Opportunity for advancement. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Your Role:
  • Support evaluations of demand response and energy efficiency programs in Texas, as necessary 
  • Provide a high level of support to the Sr Director responsible for the Texas contract and assume duties as necessary in her absence
  • Oversight of the annual Technical Reference Manual Update Process including production of updated Technical Reference Manual each year, regulatory filings and presentations  
  • Oversight of the development of all annual reporting such as evaluation plan, utility impact and statewide reporting 
  • Collaborate with and support the Database team with client communications, data request timelines, and quarterly and annual data verification efforts 
  • Identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks related to scope, schedules, and budgets
  • Foster an environment that supports open communication, employee development, and achievement of corporate and operating unit objectives
  • Ensure client satisfaction with project deliverables  
  • Mentor new and mid-level consulting staff  
  • Support business development activities    
  • Cultivate client network and relationships  
  • Author presentations
  • Represent Tetra Tech at industry events 
  • Stay current with developments in the energy industry/technical trends and recommend and implement changes to benefit Tetra Tech's business
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the energy sector
  • Strong project management, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently  
  • Industry networking

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
Starting Annual Salary: 
  • $90,000-$120,000
Line management responsibility:
  • None
Physical demands & work environment:
  • Hybrid office environment (3 days in-office/2 days remote)
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer monitor, computer mouse, calculator, and computer printer
  • Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
