Summary:

Tetra Tech is currently seeking a motivated Senior Consultant to join our high-performing team to continue providing top-of-the-line client services. The Senior Consultant will be part of a select team of senior leaders in Tetra Tech's Environmental Consulting Services unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative, high-end, and sought-after solutions for our commercial and governmental clients that provide the basis to grow our environmental and engineering practice. The selected candidate will work with regional leaders to execute projects and grow client services using sound business development and project management principals.

This position may offer hybrid working opportunities, but the candidate must reside within 100 miles of the local Missoula, MT office.

Your Role:

  • Rapidly integrate yourself into Tetra Tech to understand and leverage Tetra Tech's diverse resources and service offerings in your associated practice area(s). Collaborate with operations and technical focused team members to advance business development, program and project implementation, and practice area strategies and goals. Work with operational leadership to define your key technical practice areas, client pursuits, and group and revenue growth goals.
  • Provide senior leadership support to Tetra Tech's environmental practice focusing on your area of expertise. Leadership support includes a focus on identifying resources needed to reach your practice area goals, developing business strategies, client engagement, opportunity identification and pursuit, operational support, and team member education and mentoring.
  • Serve as the Senior Account Lead for one or more client accounts identified as strategic pursuits. Meet client needs and provide high value services. Cross sell services outside of candidate's technical practice area and provide programmatic support and oversight for those interdisciplinary services that are provided to the candidate's client base with an eye toward growth of the overall service portfolio provided. Provided services should result in client's desire to continue and grow business relationship with Tetra Tech.
  • Work with Tetra Tech's Civil Systems Department members to perform comprehensive analysis of client account potential, market share, and winnable opportunities. Other activities will include RFP management, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and project implementation.
  • Engage and retain client relationships with commercial, industrial, financial, law and energy firms, and private equity and other investment groups to facilitate opportunity generation. Provide technical and management services to clients for programs housed in your home unit and other units in Tetra Tech.
  • Capitalize on industry relationships/expertise/professional network to maintain and establish new relationships and ensure they are managed for growth under the Key Client Program. Attend and participate in remediation related events to promote Tetra Tech's expertise to the marketplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a closely related discipline. M.S. preferred.
  • Ten years of program/project management experience.
  • Expertise in developing complex site investigation, remediation, and compliance strategies for clients across industries. Expertise in state-of-the art site investigation, human health risk evaluations, and remediation technologies is required. Knowledge of regulations and regulatory agencies in Montana and surrounding states is required.
  • PE registration.
  • Must have a solid understanding of regional industries and existing and upcoming regulatory requirements they will need to comply with along with market trends, competitors, clients, forecasting, and capture strategy.
  • Experience working across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary solutions for a variety of market segments and cross selling services outside of the candidate's technical focus area.
  • Dynamic, self-starter with successful experience with operational and program-level leadership, business development, and strategic planning focused on the commercial and industrial market sectors and to government clients.
  • Strong network of clients and long-standing established relationships.
  • Ability to delegate project and operation tasks to more junior team members to effectively utilize candidate's strengths is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project and group finances with strong profitability.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability developing and delivering effective presentations to customers and management.
  • Ability to travel and perform field work/oversight (approx. 25% - 50% of travel required).
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. 

 

Target salary range:  $120,000 to $140,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
